Flagship Award for Cooley Hill P.S.

Pupils from Cooley Primary School, Sixmilecross recently completed the Ulster-Scots Agency's Flagship Programme.

Pupils from the school alongside their teacher Mrs Anderson were presented with their Flagship award on Thursday 22nd November by Education Officer Gary Blair.

Speaking about their achievement, Gary commented; "On behalf of the Ulster Scots Agency, I was delighted to visit Cooley Primary School in Sixmilecross to present the school with their Flagship Award. 

Cooley Primary School has worked well with the Agency in bringing Ulster-Scots into the school curriculum and the hard work and dedication of the pupils along with no small level of commitment from the staff has ensured the successful conclusion of an intense two year course that included Story Telling, Bagpipes, Living History and Drama. 

The Ulster-Scots Agency look forward to supporting Cooley Primary School in the future with the knowledge that the level of interest and commitment will neither diminish nor wane."
