"Shift" [Shift] Meaning: Change
The Ulster-Scots Summer Schools Grant aims to support community and voluntary groups who wish to deliver a five-day Ulster-Scots Summer School to children aged 7-16 years.
The Summer Schools must be delivered from 1 July to 31 August 2025.
There are two options available for support:
1. Standard Summer Schools
(These provide up to 10 different Ulster-Scots workshops and activities - maximum eligible funding of two hours for each Ulster-Scots activity, with a maximum of 20 hours of activity.)
2. Drama Summer Schools
(Drama tutors may be funded to deliver a week-long programme, culminating in a drama production. Groups may also provide a maximum of five Ulster-Scots workshops and activities.)
Groups can receive up to 75% of eligible costs.

Following a successful registration, a link to an application form, guidelines, and a summer school programme template will be automatically emailed to the group.
Applications close at 3pm on Monday 14 April 2025.
Late or incomplete applications will be rejected.

The Ulster-Scots Community Festivals Grant aims to support community festivals throughout Ulster from 1 June to 31 December 2025.
Ulster-Scots Community Festivals provide people with opportunities to experience and learn about Ulster-Scots culture, heritage, and language; and have an important role to play in raising awareness of Ulster-Scots within the wider community.
The inclusion of Ulster-Scots content in other community festivals is also supported through the programme.
The maximum grants available are: £20,000 for a major festival / £8,000 for a minor festival.
Groups are required to provide match funding of at least 25%.

Following a successful registration, a link to an application form, guidelines, and a festival plan template will be automatically emailed to the group.
The Community Festival Grant will close at 3pm on Monday 31 March 2025.
Late or incomplete applications will be rejected.

Applications for Partnership funding is open all year but needs to be submitted at least 2 calendar months prior to the start date of your event/project.
You can bring your application to the Ulster Scots Community Network to be checked. This service minimises errors within your application and ensures that all of your supporting documenation, signatures and information is correct and as requested within the Ulster Scots Agency guidelines before you submit it for approval.
