Newry, Mourne and Down District Council in partnership with Ulster-Scots Agency, is hosting a talk by Nelson McCausland to celebrate Ulster Scots Language Week 2023.
The talk 'Ulster-Scots: A People, A Culture and A Language', will focus on the Newry, Mourne and Down area - including Ulster-Scots emigration through the port of Newry, the piping tradition, and writers such as Hugh Porter, the Bard of Moneyslane, and Sarah Parker.
The event takes place on Wednesday 22 November 2023 at 7.30pm at Newry and Mourne Museum.
