Join Valhalla Street Theatre for an animated walking tour of Newtownards exploring its rich Ulster-Scots history.

Where: Ards Arts Centre, Town Hall, Conway Square, Newtownards, BT23 4NP

When: Sunday 24 November, 2-3pm

Cost: £5 

From the settlement of the Montgomerys in 1606 to the execution of the Reverend William Warwick from Kircubbin Presbyterian in 1798, see how these historic characters played a fundamental role in the development of Newtownards as we know it today.

Valhalla Street Theatre will bring to life these historic stories through drama and performance and give the audience a unique insight into our local history that is both fascinating and entertaining.

Please note: Tour departs from Ards Arts Centre. It takes in The Priory, Market Cross and the old Town Hall (Ards Arts Centre) and requires standing and walking outside. Duration of the tour is one hour and please come prepared for the weather.

This event is part of Ards & North Down Borough Council's Leid and Lairn Festival, celebrating Ulster-Scots language and heritage.
