Third Annual Highland Games together with the 1st Novice Strongest Man, which goes under the name of 'Rural Ructions' and this year we have the finale of the Highland Games Series Warrior Trophy.
Last year we introduced a new element in the form of a Strongman competition and this year we will host Ireland's Strongest 4 Man Team 2011. The planning for a lot of this is down to Glenn Ross 5 Times UK Champion.
Highland Dancing, Pipe and silver bands, comics and crafts.
Story telling for Liz Weir Fife and Drum band.
Attractions for the children include the fun-zone and inflatable area. This year we have for first time Corbally mobile fun farm which features animals such as Llamas, Pot bellied pigs and much much, more!
There is entertainment in the marquee for the Mums, Dads, Grannies and Grandads as well as loads of good country sit-down food.
The event runs from 12 noon - 5pm and commences with the Highland Games followed by the Strongman team event.
The Saturday night concert begins at 8pm and will feature May McFetridge and her band.
The Curragh is just over a mile from Maghera and can be accessed from Crew Road (A3) and Station Road. Directions to the event venue at 43 Crew Road - off Coleraine Road, Maghera or past Mid-Ulster Garden Centre for approx 1 mile.
