Creative Writing Competition Entries are now invited to the Creative Writing and Poetry Competition, part of the Sarah Leech Summer School. Budding writers and poets should send their poems and short pieces of writing (400 words maximum for short stories) to reedjacqui@hotmail.com or 1joelynch@eircom.net by Wednesday 1ST May, 2013. Winners will be awarded trophies on the evening of Saturday 22nd June at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Buncrana.

Writers Competition

 

Winners will be awarded trophies on the Saturday evening of the Festival - Saturday 22nd June at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel in Buncrana.

 

Entry Criteria

·         No competition entry fee

·         Entries must have not been published previously

·         Each entry must be typed

·         Maximum Number of words for short story 400 words

·         Maximum Number of words for Poem 100 words

·         Entries will not be returned

·         Indication of name or identity must not appear on the script

·         Identify your entry as per entry form below

·         No more than two entries per person allowed

·         The adjudicator’s verdict is final

·         Winners only will be notified

·         Sarah Leech Committee will nominate shortlist and award entries as per adjudicator’s decision.

·         Sarah Leech Committee reserves the right to publish shortlisted stories

·         Final Date for Entries: 1 May 2013
