Santer Returns to BBC

The popular Ulster-Scots series Santer presented by Anne Morrison-Smyth returns to BBC2 Northern Ireland.

You can see the first programme of the series this Wednesday evening, 18th September at 7.30pm

On the first programme Frank McLernon tries his hand at falconry, Zoe Abraham learns about drum making in Rathfriland and Gibson Young and Liam Logan discuss the subtleties in Ulster Scots words. Scottish fiddle superstar Alasdair Fraser opens the series with a performance along with Natalie Haas, while Mark Wilson begins another musical journey. On this occasion Mark explores the migration of Ulster Scots to New Zealand beginning in the town of KatiKati where some of the first settlers landed.
