The Reivers Festival 2015 will be taking place in Kilkeel from 3rd July - 11th July will a programme packed full of Ulster Scots entertainment!
Friday 3rd July 2015, 1-3pm, Reivers House, Reivers Festival Launch - Broadcast live on Fusefm Mourne 106.2fm (Showcasing local Ulster-Scots talent)
Saturday 4th July 2015 – 7.30-10.30pm, Ulster-Scots Soiree, Hannas Close, Kilkeel, (Featuring Fiddles, Flutes, Lambeg Drums, Highland Dancers, Pipes, Soloist Natalie Stevenson and BBQ) [Could we highlight with the same design as last years WW1 Drama that Tickets costs £6 and are available from Reivers House]
Sunday 5th July 2015 – Reivers House, Gospel Concert, 3-5pm (Featuring local Gospel Choirs and Musicians)
Monday 6th July 2015 – Kilkeel Library, 10am-5pm, Launch of local Art & Photography Exhibition, (WW1 talks by Historian, Philip Orr & Jim Hudson, Royal British Legion Kilkeel) Exhibition on display 6th-11th July
Wednesday 8th July 2015 – Reivers House, 10am-2pm, Highland Dance Workshop
Thursday 9th July 2015 – Old Tyme Tay Dance, Friends of Slieve Roe, Slieve Roe House, Kilkeel, 2-4pm. (Music by Country Musician, Samuel Miskelly) Everyone Welcome
Thursday 9th July 2015 – Lambeg Drum Workshop, Reivers House, 7.30-9.30pm
Friday 10th July 2015 – Ulster-Scots Poetry Competition, Reivers House, 1-3pm – Broadcast live on Fusefm Mourne 106.2fm
Saturday 11th July 2015 – Afternoon Street Concert, Lower Square, Kilkeel, 1-3pm (Showcasing Highland Dance, Fifes, Flutes, Lambeg Drums & Fiddles)
Saturday 11th July 2015 – 11th Night Pageant, Kilkeel 7.30pm, featuring a variety of living history characters, fifes, drums, floats, vintage vehicles and marching band. Followed by Open-Air Concert, Orange Fields, Manse Road, Kilkeel , 9-10.45pm. Entertainment to include cookery demonstrations, childrens entertainment, stalls, living history exhibitions and a fireworks extravangza!
Fusefm Mourne will be broadcasting live from Reivers House 30th June – 13th July on 106.2fm, 7am-midnight. www.fusefmmourne.co.uk
