Inspiration is the starting point for interest, participation and pride. By identifying, interpreting, and enlivening Ulster-Scots language, heritage, and culture, we can spark curiosity and motivate individuals and communities to explore and connect with Ulster-Scots.

Last year, we were proud to be able to support:

  • Over 900 children in 23 Ulster-Scots summer schools

  • 29 community-led events

  • More than 20 language classes

  • Eight festivals, with around 56,000 people attending.

Even the smallest amount of funding can make a huge difference to groups wanting to host an Ulster-Scots event or activity. To learn more about how our funding has transformed individuals and communities, explore the 'good news' stories and project showcases below.
