As part of the celebrations for the World Police and Fire Games and to welcome athletes, their family and friends to Northern Ireland, the Ulster-Scots Agency is hosting the Lagan Hooley this weekend!
Join the Ulster-Scots Agency at the Lagan Hooley for performances by Ulster-Scots traditional groups such as Broken String Band, KasK and music from pipers, fiddlers and Lambeg drummers.
There will also be displays of traditional Ulster-Scots dancing, soda and potato bread cookery demonstrations and a selection of local crafts on display including basket weaving and spinning.
This two-day event is free and everyone is welcome to come along and join in the festivities.
Inside the Lagan Lookout we will have a ‘Living History’ event where you can come and meet some of the Ulster Scots who helped shape the shipbuilding industry of Belfast and learn more about what made Belfast such a shipbuilding success!
Venue: The Lagan Lookout & area beside the Big Fish sculpture (1 Donegall Quay, Belfast BT1 3EA).
