The Ulster-Scots Agency is attending the 2024 National Ploughing Championships for the first time this year.
Exhibiting in the Government of Ireland Village alongside the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, the three-day event takes place from 17-19 September in Ratheniska, Co Laois.
Staff will be in attendance throughout the event, promoting the rich history, heritage and culture of the Ulster-Scots to visitors. There will also be opportunities to enjoy music, piping, and highland dance demonstrations each day – just drop in to the marquee at the scheduled times below:
Tuesday 17 September
3.30pm – 4.30pm: Andy McGregor – Highland Piper
Wednesday 18 September
10am – 10.15am: Andy McGregor – Highland Piper
12.30pm – 1pm: Sister Susan Graham Accordion Band
Thursday 19 September
11.45am – 12 noon: Moyne Pipe Band & Moyne Highland Dancers

The Government of Ireland is once again bringing an exciting village of interactive demonstrations to the 2024 National Ploughing Championships, from 17-19 September 2024 at Ratheniska, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.
The village will feature almost 150 exhibitors from a variety of government departments and agencies, under the theme ‘Your Government, Your Community’.
Visitors to the event will have the chance to engage directly with government teams to learn about the latest supports, services, and policies they are interested in.
