Job Opportunity - Director of Corporate Services

The Ulster-Scots Agency are looking for a highly motivated and innovative individual to join the team and lead our Corporate Services directorate.

About You

As Director of Corporate Services, you will be joining a highly passionate and dedicated team who will make you feel very welcome from day one, and will offer you the best support to enable you to achieve your full potential here. 

With a strong focus on continuous improvement of all our internal systems, processes, policies, and procedures, you will oversee all the support functions within the Agency, including Finance, HR, IT, and Admin Support.

You will develop a strong working relationship in particular with internal and external auditors, our sponsor departments, and co-ordinate preparation of our Corporate and Business Plans. 

As we are part of a North/South Implementation Body, you will also ensure appropriate compliance with the regulatory requirements of both jurisdictions.

You will perform a key role in supporting the Agency’s Chief Executive/ Accounting Officer and in providing professional advice to the Agency’s Board and Audit and Risk Committee.

Requirements

To be eligible to apply you must:

  • Be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • Hold current membership of a relevant Accounting Body
  • Hold a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, eg. Accountancy or Business, plus two years’ minimum experience (gained within the last 5 years) working at, or reporting directly to, executive board level on matters relating to the management of financial affairs of the organisation.

OR

  • Have five years’ minimum experience (gained within the last 8 years) working at, or reporting directly to, executive board level on matters relating to the management of financial affairs of the organisation.
