IT IS BACK! Registration for the 2025 Belfast Tartan Day Dander is now open.
After the success of the inaugural event last year, we're delighted to bring the celebration, pageantry and colour of the Belfast Tartan Day Dander back to the heart of the city on Saturday 29th November.
The event will once again begin at the Discover Ulster-Scots Centre, with the venue open from 10.45am. The dander will depart at 11.30am sharp and make its way to Belfast City Hall, filling the air with Ulster-Scots music, dance and fanfare all along the way. At City Hall, we will enjoy the popular 'Tartan Day Tay', where there will be some short speeches and refreshments.
The event will end at approximately 1.30pm, leaving plenty of time for participants to go Christmas shopping in the city, not forgetting the Christmas Market at City Hall.
Individuals/families/groups of friends are invited to register to walk in the dander - just remember to wear some tartan! - while pipers, tenor drummers, snare drummers and drum majors are welcome to register to take part in our Massed Pipe Band.
* Please note: Regarding music on the day, we already have three other bands, in addition to the Massed Pipe Band, confirmed, so we aren't seeking any more bands to take part. Just individual musicians and drum majors as part of the Massed Pipe Band.
There are only a limited number of spaces available, and when they're gone, they're gone, so get your registration in today here.
If your registration is success, you will receive further information in the coming days via email, detailing parking options, the tunes for the Massed Pipe Band, etc.
We hope that you will be able to join us for what promises to be another very memorable occasion, as we bring the sights and sounds of our proud Ulster-Scots culture, history and heritage to the streets of the capital once more!
