ROI Instrument & Uniform Grant 2023

27 June 2023

The Ulster-Scots Agency has secured additional funding to open a pilot funding programme for Ulster-Scots marching bands based in the Border Counties of the Republic of Ireland.

This funding programme will fund Ulster-Scots marching bands in Donegal, Cavan, and Monaghan to purchase instruments or uniforms to make their band more sustainable.

The grant is intended to increase the confidence and capacity of the Ulster-Scots community in the border counties of Donegal, Cavan, and Monaghan by improving the appearance and musicality of Ulster-Scots marching bands in the area. This will be undertaken by awarding funding to support the purchase of musical instruments, accessories, consumables, or items of uniform.

The fund will provide support of up to 90% of eligible costsup to a maximum grant of €10,000. All eligible costs are listed in the programme guidelines which will be emailed to bands, along with the application form, once they complete the registration process.

Groups interested in applying should follow the link for this Grant and register HERE.

Following a successful registration, an application form, and guidelines will be emailed to the band.

Bands interested in applying are encouraged to carefully read the guidelines and contact the Agency to clarify any issues before submitting their application form.

Applications will close at 12 noon on Monday 31 July 2023 and bands must ensure that they have submitted all the supporting documentations as listed in the guidelines.
