Ulster-Scots Agency presence at 'Irishfest' in Milwaukee 2009
The Ulster-Scots Agency received an invitation from the festival organisers to attend and have some representation at this years’ 2009 event, following on from Alistair McReynolds appearance at last years’ 2008 Irishfest summer-school. Arrangements were made for Risin Stour, a local Ulster-Scots musical group to appear on stage at several of the Festival music stages. As it turned out this proved to be a considerable undertaking for Risin Stour as the smallest venue seated 500 people and the biggest 2,500 people. more »

Launch of ‘The Campbell Quest’ by Patrick C MacCulloch
I was a fairly typical new genealogist. I didn’t think about researching my family until I was the oldest surviving member of my immediate family with almost no-one left to ask for information. Basic research enabled me to assemble a relationship chart of the relatives I knew about, and in many cases, the previous generation. It was not too hard to append names and dates and I was proud of the result. more »

Ulster-Scots Agency presence at the Royal Highland Show, Edinburgh
This summer the Ulster-Scots Agency made a big impression at its first major agricultural event in Scotland; the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh. Regarded as one of the United Kingdom’s top agricultural events, the Royal Highland Show is one of the flagship events for ‘Homecoming Scotland 2009’.
