Audio
Children can use this library to enhance their projects with sounds. It teaches pupils how to download sounds and import them into projects. For example, pupils could import sound into their slideshow or newspaper report in the 'Fact file' section.
Lyric sheets, music sheets and audio files are available for all songs from the 'Oor Wee Scuil' booklet, which pupils can download or listen to. They may wish to import these as background music to a presentation. Readings of stories from the 'Fact file' section are also present for pupils to listen to or download, which is particularly useful for introducing younger pupils to the topic of Ulster-Scots.
This area could be used to generate discussions about multimedia sounds and music, as well as the relationship between music and traditions. See the 'Oor Wee Scuil' section for further information regarding music, songs, dance, poetry, and prose.
Pupils are learning to:
- Download sounds from a website.
- Import sounds into ICT projects.
- Listen and respond to music and stories.
- Understand that different types of music are linked to different traditions.
